The Omega VRT400HDS Vertical Masticating Juicer is a fantastic unit! Not only is it aesthetically pleasing, but it is one of the most efficient juicing products on the market today.
This unit is the successor to the popular and successful VRT350 model. It does a phenomenal job at minimizing waste which translates into more juice in your cup ?!
It’s impossible to talk about this juicer without mentioning the outstanding 15 year warranty that Omega includes. This warranty exceeds the industry average by far and says a lot about Omega’s confidence in this product!
The warranty coupled with the numerous capabilities of this machine makes quite a compelling argument for this juicer!

Product Features
- This particular juicer is considered a “slow masticating juice extractor.” What does this mean? Well in English it essentially means that it extracts juice by squeezing the ingredients rather than shredding them. This is done at a very slow speed of 80RPMs hence the name “low speed juicer.”
- You may be asking yourself why slower is better for juicing. It is superior to slowly squeeze juice out of the ingredients opposed to shredding because it reduces oxidation. This means that the essential nutrients are preserved and not destroyed like in a typical shredding process. Omega claims that these nutrients are preserved for up to 72 hours which is great for juicing in advance!
This unit makes it very easy to combine multiple ingredients into a single juice. First, two included containers are placed next to the unit. One beneath the chute where the excess ingredients and pulp will exit and another beneath the tap for filling with juice.
The ingredients are fed into the unit through its top. The juice is then slowly extracted into the unit’s bowl. Once the juice is ready, it can be released through the integrated juice tap on the bottom of the bowl (demonstrated in the video below). Juice can then be poured directly into a glass or one of the included containers.- Also included is a strainer which fits into one of the included containers. This removes any excess pulp that may be present when releasing juice from the tap.
- Another key feature of this unit is that it takes up very little counter-top real estate compared to other juicers. Although it has a small footprint, it’s 1/5 HP motor is more than capable of extracting juice from your favorite foods with ease!
Finally, the auto-cleaning feature of this juicer makes it ridiculously simple to clean. It keeps the unit’s screen clear which in turn increases its efficiency. Add some water and the built-in brush will automatically scrub your unit clean! Then just open the tap to release the water. This feature drastically reduces cleaning time as the unit doesn’t have to be disassembled and cleaned by hand.- This juicer measures in at 7″ wide by 15.5″ high by 8.5″ deep and weighs 22 lbs.

I for one of millions out there absolutely adore juicing and have written a book all about it and its amazing benefits. I have heard of the VRT 350 but I knew nothing of the VRT 400 and this has sparked my interest. I can feel another spend coming on and If I decide to get it then I will obviously buy from you as this review got my ears truly pricked up in a very positive fashion

This juicer does everything you would want a juicer to do! I never heard of a juicer that ‘squeezed’ the ingredients as opposed to shredding them. It makes total sense that this would preserve the nutrients in greater measure.

Hi, I am very interested in this juicer, especially after reading so many positive things about it! I like the fact that it uses squeezing and not shredding, I think that is one of the best things because the juice gets so much more tasty and healthier.
The other thing that caught my attention was the 15-year warranty. That is amazing indeed!
When I decide to buy a product I always look for amazon reviews and give preference for 4-5 stars. If the product is more expensive but is has many positive reviews, I go for it as I know I am getting good value for money. That is the case with Omega Juicer…

Slow juicing is definitely the way to go. You’re absolutely right about it providing a superior and healthier taste than conventional juicers.

Wow, I was interested in buying this unit before but after reading this review my mind is set. I was not aware of such a long warranty. This makes me feel comfortable about buying this juicer. That should give you peace of mind if you are in the market for a good quality juicer. A slow juicer is definitely a great product, moreso if you will use it frequently.
Absolutely, the warranty on this product is very hard to beat. It’s not too often that we see a 15 year warranty on any kitchen appliance.
The slow juicers are the best because they extract the most amount of juice from their contents. This particular juicer is one of the best, if not the best out there.

This unit is extremely easy to wash. In fact, it washes itself. All you need to do is fill the unit with water and activate self-cleaning mode. Release the water out of the tap once the unit is clean.
This product carries a 15 year manufacturer’s warranty in the even anything went wrong with it. Omega is very good with their warranties.

I don’t know much about juicers but i have always wanted one. I am very addicted to fruits juices and obsessed with different kinds of blends. This product seams very outstanding it has lots of features i have not seen before and i think i will make a wise investment buying when i settle in my home. I will save this review for that day. Hi, this Omega Juicer looks great indeed, my wife would really be happy to have it in the kitchen. She is all in vegetables and fruits. The price is not what I like, but I’d be willing to pay it if its as good as you say it is. Another thing is delivery. I followed the link you gave and it appears this is not shipped to Belgium. Not sure how I could order it. But thank you in any case.

Price can definitely be an issue. This is a top-notch machine and the price certainly reflects that. However, it should last you a long time and pay dividends throughout. It’s a very innovative and efficient juicer. It can utilize the ingredients more than any other juicer out there. This means it’ll take less fruits and vegetables to make a glass of juice compared to other units on the market.
